Psychic Awakenings Seattle, 700 Warren Ave. N., Seattle In times of change and transformation we all want to feel connected, safe, and aligned to our purpose. In this workshop we will explore psychic tools to help us connect more deeply to ourselves, our truest source of inspiration, with relaxing and healing guided meditation. The Pillar of light is a timeless connection to source highly regarded by many spiritual traditions. We will dip into this sublime connection where we can be attuned as our truest self. We will focus on tools that help us:
Relax and grow spiritually, through guided meditation & exercises that strengthen your personal sovereignty. I recently had a conversation about the difference between perception and intuition. The idea that intuition is based on a held set of beliefs and known facts, while perception is a state of seeing how things all tie together, and being present with what is. This has changed the words I use to define intuition. I have held a mistaken belief about what intuition is. What I have called intuition may actually be perception. Even though the change is subtle it may have a big impact on how what I have called intuitive work is perceived.
Intuition is the flash of insight you may get after intensively studying and working on an idea or problem. Its that symbiosis of thought and work coming together - giving you that flash if inspiration that is insight into a solution. However I believe that the flash it self is a door opening to perception. The intensity of involvement takes you to the point of synthesis and that is an opening, a foundation, which allows us to see more clearly. Where you suddenly see the whole problem and how it all fits together- this is an instant of perception. The ability to receive insight depends on you being open to the information. What do we see when we look at energy? Is it perception or intuition, or is it a combination of these two closely related experiences? As an "intuitive", I practice the art of deepening my perceptive experience. Is intuition a limit on how much we allow ourselves to perceive? Intuition determines weather we filter for danger, for comfort, or for a solution to a specific problem. This connection to the body, and what intuitively feel we need to be aware of, may determine how much we allow ourselves to perceive. I enjoy learning about energetic connections and how to live well with others. However, I have come to understand this statement like attracts like. It's personal, and it's about how I have been matching energy most of my life as a sensitive person, a claire-sentient. I match the energy of those around me. There has been a tendency to match at a familiar level, which in my case was "I can relate to your suffering" or "where do you need healing".
Imagine the problem posed, for example, in a group when I attempt match everyone's energy. The resulting mash-up was confusing and overwhelming, and caused me to shut down in most social situations. It's been part of how I functioned as an introvert- clearly I couldn't enjoy being around a group of people easily, unless I knew them very well. Projections were extremely uncomfortable. "Misery loves company" because when we are miserable, or in pain, we vibrate at that level and attract others who have, or are familiar with that vibration. We may seek our opposite to fill an energetic gap. We attract our opposite when we seek to fill a gap in our energy field that matches energy that is most familiar to us, such as a family pattern. It is often mom or dads energy that we are most familiar with, even if its not what we consciously believe we want. Until we recognize this relationship or pattern as an area where we need to grow, and learn how to vibrate at a new energy level for ourselves, we might find that we repeat a family pattern in a mates or friends. We will continue to seek opposites until we learn how to fill our own energy field with the energy we desire. We all have a great need to hold our own truth, to be authentic. Holding my own means choosing my vibration and maintaining my own energy, not empathetically matching those around me, and not projecting myself into another's space. In the process of psychic training, (I define Psychic as a person who "sees" energy and has an understanding of how to work with it.) I've learned that I can place my energy vibration where I want to be and maintain it. As a healer I can even invite others to rise to meet me at my vibration level, or meet them at their highest level, rather than to seek and meet at the lowest common vibration. By raising my own vibration and holding it, I learn that I am able raise others up. Everyone feels better when we are all reaching for love, right? That doesn't mean we can't empathize and understand each others pain. It means we can both recognize the pain and still connect in a state of love. When I vibrate at a state of acceptance of my self, I become happier, and I invite others to join me in happiness. When we are joyful, we walk with a pillow of joy around us, protecting and attracting joyful connections. We can and do change based on our energetic image of how we interact in the world. What is your vibration? You may be able to see it by looking at the people and situations you have attracted into your life. |
